Training Types

Group Training Sessions

Weekly training sessions offered in Winter, Spring, and Fall. The team participates in local track meets on weekends and trains in the early evening during the week. Practice is 1-hour in duration and consist of strength and conditioning exercises and track & field technique training.

Private Coaching

Coach McDaniels is available for private sessions in sprints, hurdles, jumps, and throwing. His program develops speed, quickness, endurance and strength. For more information regarding programs and fees, please contact Coach Rob directly at (510) 375-2380.

 

Hurdle Clinics

Coach McDaniels occasionally teaches weekend courses for beginners and intermediate-level hurdlers. These courses teach proper hurdle mechanics and get young runners race-ready through hurdle technique drills, speed drills, and confidence building. For more information regarding programs and fees, please contact Coach Rob directly at (510) 375-2380.

 

Jump Clinics

Special jumps sessions will be offered for MacCanDo athletes during the seasonal Group Training Sessions. Jumps training is led by Coach Andrew and includes plyometric exercises, jump technique drills, runway approach practice, and landings. These sessions are designed for athletes with any level of experience in long jump and triple jump.
