Robert McDaniels

World Ranked Masters Track and Field Athlete
Coach McDaniels has been working with at-risk youth for over 30 years and dedicates his career to assist youth by "becoming a true champion in life through track and field opportunities”. His unique coaching method and personal skills have led many MacCanDo student-athletes to the national level.
Coach Rob was a 2-time NCAC 110m High Hurdle Champion and received the MVP of the year at San Francisco State University Athletic Department in 1984-85. Among his many honors, Coach Rob carried the Olympic Torch for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and received the 2012 49ers Community Quarterback Award. In 2017, Coach Rob competed in the USATF Outdoor Championship and the USA Masters Games and was 100-m hurdle Champion (M60) in both.

Yuko H. McDaniels

Coach Yuko began competing in sprinting events in Masters Track and Field at the age of 48. She currently competes in both the U.S. and in Japan.
Yuko recently achieved All-American status in the W60 50-m dash in 2018. After struggling with a number of injuries in the past few years, Coach Yuko focuses her training on rebuilding strength and developing stamina, starting a new era for her sprinting experiences.

Anna Lee McGregor

Anna Lee began coaching for MacCanDo in 2013 and continues to support MacCanDo by helping at events and managing the website. She supports MacCanDo because the club teaches its student-athletes how hard work, perseverance, and integrity translate into success both on and off the track.
Anna Lee competed as a 400-m runner at UC San Diego 2007-2010 and at SF State University in 2013. In 2014, she started training for the combined events and, in 2018, she took 2nd place in the Inaugural USATF Women's Decathlon National Championship. Anna Lee currently holds the world record in the decathlon 1500-m.

Andrew Tran

Andrew began coaching for MacCanDo in 2013. He competed for UC San Diego as a triple jumper 2008-2011 and returned to track as a post-collegiate jumper in 2014. Andrew works primarily as a Physical Therapist during the week but also coaches high school track and field, and offers occasional jumps clinics for MacCanDo.
